additive. The FT50 additive enables the bitumen to easily mix with all
water types (soft, hard, bore or salt water) at dilutions that allow
DustBloc to soak into the ground. Following the evaporation of water,
the bitumen film is left to adhere to the dust particles. This creates
two effects, firstly it binds the road together stopping dust and
secondly when the surface is broken up by traffic creating some dust,
the particles are heavier and less likely to become airborne when
disturbed by vechicle traffic or wind. The product does not leach out,
so it gradually builds up in the surface material. |
